The couple running this inn went out of their way to make sure I felt at home, and the delicious food served by the cozy fire made my stay truly memorable. it's perfectly positioned for exploring stunning Loch Lubnaig and venturing to the beautiful Balquhidder Church Ruins, making it ideal for weekend wanderers like me.

Rooms facing the main road can be a hassle for light sleepers, with noticeable traffic noise and bright street lights filtering through the curtains. Breakfast hours are strict, leaving little room for late risers, and if you're looking for food options outside usual meal times, you might be disappointed—especially if you arrive early or on an off day when the cafe is closed. cleanliness left something to be desired. a few cobwebs around the window showed less attention to detail than expected.

Had a fab time here! The staff were super friendly, making me feel welcome right away. They even served me possibly the best lamb I’ve had, with a nice glass of wine. Just wish the bar area was a bit more spacious, but the atmosphere was still cozy. A nice brekkie was also included!

Had a pleasant 2-night stay in a twin room with bath. The room was spacious and clean, offering nice amenities like a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and good heating. Breakfast options included freshly cooked selections, and the atmosphere was cozy with local ales available at the bar.

The room was immaculate, though the traffic noise from the main road was bothersome.

Had an awesome time with friends! We hiked nearby trails and explored the local golf clubs, perfect for a day outdoors. The place itself was immaculate and the owners were super friendly, going out of their way to offer helpful tips. Don’t skip the breakfast. it’s a game-changer!

One downside was the tricky room door. it was hard to open from the inside without help, which was kind of annoying.

we had a lovely two-night stay at the white stag. the room was spotless and perfect for us. audrey and mark's customer service stood out, really going above and beyond. the restaurant served delicious food, which made our evenings even better. it's a great spot for walkers on the rob roy trail.

The inn is nestled in a beautiful location, perfect for hiking adventures. We spent our days exploring the trails nearby and even tried our hand at darts and tennis on-site. The spacious triple room was comfortable for our family of seven, which was a definite plus!

My children wished for a bit more play area outside.

I absolutely loved the rich local food culture showcased in every meal, with ingredients sourced from nearby farms that added a heartfelt touch to our dining experience. The open fire in the bar created the perfect cozy atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploring the scenic countryside views, where rolling hills and serene landscapes surrounded us. Mark and Audrey's personalized service made us feel like family, where every little detail, like a sweet note about breakfast, left a lasting impression.

Had a fantastic stay! The view from the beer garden is breathtaking, and I can't stop thinking about the delicious duck I had for dinner. The cheesecake was an absolute highlight too! Definitely coming back.

I had a delightful stay, and the owners really made me feel at home. The room was impeccably clean, and the thoughtful dog-friendly amenities impressed me, as they offered my pet treats during breakfast. The meals were top-notch, especially the locally sourced dishes that really highlighted the flavors of the area. Just a small note for improvement – I think there could be better soundproofing as I could hear some noise from the bar area.

the staff are super friendly and helpful, i even got to leave my bags until the room was ready! there was a comfy bed and tea, coffee, and snacks in the room. breakfast was nice with a good selection. the pub was lively with a nice atmosphere and the food was really good too. dog friendly which is a plus for pet lovers!

the bathroom had a used towel when i got there and check-in felt a bit slow. i think it could use a bit more cleaning attention.
